Strange film from a genius Knowing that spectacular Sergio Leone has always been one of my favorite movie directors it feels almost like a crime to say anything bad about him and any of his works so I'll just put it this way: "A Fistful of dynamite", "Duck, you sucker" or "Once upon a time in the revolution" (depends on which title you personally find best) is - even though a great film - my least favorite of Leone's movies. If you ask me two of his previous projects ("The Good, the bad and the ugly" and "Once upon a time in the west") are both among the most magnificent motion pictures of all times and his last flick, sensational gangster epic "Once upon a time in America" was of course yet to come. "A Fistful of dynamite" in between them was, like I said, a good solid western but also the weirdest one he has ever directed. Just listen to legendary Ennio Morricone's psychedelic score alone and you know exactly what I mean. If you've already seen everything else Leone has done it's a sin to still pass this but if his other films aren't that familiar to you yet the biggest mistake would be to start with this. So in the end this is what I got to say: great movie and definitely a brilliant score but unfortunately not everything I expected from Leone.
